Fantastic holiday, Bangkok, Koh Samui, Siagon to Hanoi, Bangkok. Travel companion the late Ronald Vince (RIP), old mate from Bishops Creek. Two weeks total in Thailand and four week tour package in Vietnam. First time overseas flying in 747.
First stop Bangkok. Second night I decided to slip out unnoticed and visit some bars to look at the pretty Thai girls. So naive, happily accepted an opened drink from the Madame, next thing wake up in the morning, empty bar, drugged and robbed. I received a severe scolding from Ronald Vince. Shaky trip to airport bound for Koh Samui.
